Service Description
Our Parent First Aid & CPR classes focus on learning how to respond to the most common emergency situations that face family members of all ages. We start with looking at how to deal with an emergency situation - what to do in what order and what are the priorities. We then cover - Assessment skills - First aid for the unconscious person - CPR for adults, children and Infants - Choking first aid for adults, children and infants - Management of severe life threatening bleeding - Minor wounds - Burns - Drowning - Insect bites - Seizures - Heat emergencies - Allergies and anaphylaxis - Asthma - Heart attacks - Strokes - Limb injuries - Head injuries - Accidental poisoning As well as focusing on learning first aid skills for emergency situations we also look at how we can prevent some emergency situations from occurring. Particularly in relation to young children who are most at risk of injuring themselves at home. All attendees receive a certificate of attendance and a first aid booklet to take home.
