Service Description
Babysitting is a great way for teenagers to learn some responsibility and earn a bit of money for themselves. Our Teenager First Aid Class for Babysitting prepares them for this new role. We discuss the role of the babysitter, qualities of a good babysitter and how to best prepare for a babysitting job. We then move into the first aid segment of the class and look at how to get help in Singapore and what to do and not do in an emergency. The theory and practical first aid skills for following are then taught and practised: - Assessment for a responsive person - Assessment for the unresponsive person - recovery position - CPR for adults, children and infants - AED demo - First aid for drowning - Choking first aid - adults, children and infants - Severe life threatening bleeds - Impaled objects in wounds - Minor wounds - Nosebleeds - Burns - Head injuries - Seizures - Animal bites and stings - Allergies and anaphylaxis - Asthma - Heat emergencies - Accidental poisoning We also discuss how we can prevent some emergency situations from occurring - we discuss what injuries and accidents young children are most at risk from and how to best avoid them. All participants will receive a certificate of attendance.
